A Furry is someone who has an interest in Anthropomorphic animals, creatures and media.
Commonly, this involves creating a character and interacting with the fandom at large. This character could be represented in art, stories, costumes (fursuits) or roleplay. They could be any single species, creature or a mix of multiple.
Some people are drawn to the artistic side of the fandom, while others enjoy the social aspects, such as attending conventions or participating in online communities.
For some it's a method of self-expression, exploration, or identity.
Many younger fans find comfort in the community, and the characters are a way for them to practice or explore different facets of their personality.
For some it's just a hobby, for others it's a foundation. But at its core, being a furry is about appreciating and celebrating art, culture, creativity, and that there are a LOT of fun and interesting creatures.
